Monday, week 4 of term two already! Can you believe it?

Kia ora whānau

I hope you all had a lovely weekend. We went to the beach on Sunday, it was so refreshing dipping my toes in the ocean and running away from the tide with my children giggling away. I feel so lucky with the weather we have had, it has been so sunny and warm, with hardly any rain.

Form drawing:
I just realised that I forgot to give you form drawing on Friday! Golly gosh, silly Stacey! Here is the third form, that I was meant to give you on Friday.

Form 3:
Start with a circle. Next mark three points, one at the top and then two about three quarters of the way down your circle. Then draw a triangle from the dots you've (lightly) marked.
Now that your form is drawn, we need to colour it in, you'll need your coloured pencils. Start at the corners, colouring in straight lines all in the same direction, pushing harder with your pencil, then softer as you grow closer to the center. You will need two different colours.

I'm also going to give you today's form, because it ties in nicely after the one above...

Form 4:
Start with a circle. Next mark three points, one at the top and then two about three quarters of the way down your circle. Now you’ll need to mark the midway points between each point. Then draw a triangle from the first dots you've (lightly) marked, and an upside-down triangle from the other points
Now that your form is drawn, we need to colour it in, you'll need your coloured pencils. Start at the corners, colouring in straight lines all in the same direction, pushing harder with your pencil, then softer as you grow closer to the center. Try the circular motion technique again for the hexagon that's left in the middle You will need three different colours.

Don't stress if you don't get both on them done 💛

Sport:
Ash has a new post for you in the "pages" on the right, it's called "Sports from Ash #3".

Writing:
I loved reading your writing about your favourite foods, I got so hungry thinking about ice cream, sushi and pad thai!
Today I would like you to write a mismatched story. Mismatched stories are a wee bit funny, they can be about whatever you'd like, but they have to include certain items....
Mismatched, write a story about anything, it must include an octopus, a broom stick, the colour teal and a candle.

Handwork:
As you know Janice has been working hard to create some delightful craft supplies for you. She has dispatched all of your wonderful wee care packages, this ended up happening in two different lots so I can imagine that they will all arrive at different times.

Once you have yours, you can create your feather. If you don't have a needle, or you don't feel confident with your stitches, you are welcome to enjoy your care package whatever way you choose 😄

The feathers are not compulsory, just an optional activity to keep you busy if you wish.

I love seeing your beautiful work, keep it coming, it's a nice way to feel connected to you in this time apart.

Hoping to see you all soon
