Kei te pēhea koe? Kei te harikoa ahau, I am happy that the sun is shining and that it sounds like we might be able to be back in our real class very soon!
Form drawing:
Form 8:
Start with a circle. Next mark five points evenly spaced around the circle. Then draw a pentagon from the dots you've (lightly) marked. Now, mark the center point of each line and go towards the center and mark a point there, this will create a star when you have drawn your lines. Next you can create another pentagon by cutting off the star tips into triangles, drawing lines across them. Repeat the process so that you have another star, then one more pentagon.
Now that your form is drawn, we need to colour it in, you'll need your coloured pencils. Start at the corners, colouring in straight lines all in the same direction, pushing harder with your pencil, then softer as you grow closer to the center. You will need three - six different colours, I chose to do a new colour each layer, but you may wish to repeat them.

Writing:
Today's writing prompt is "something I've broken or lost that belonged to someone else".
I know when I was your age I felt so awful any time I broke or lost something that belonged to someone else. I'd get this awful feeling in my tummy and couldn't face the situation.
I'm pretty sure I told you all about the time that I was learning Violin and the teacher had told me not to adjust the strings? Well, of course I did and one broke. My cheeks were burning red and I was so full of guilt and shame that I ran into my next lesson, thrust the violin at the teacher, said I didn't want to play anymore and ran away and hid. Now, looking back, I wish I had been honest with my teacher and told them what had happened. I know now that violin strings are reasonably inexpensive and easy to replace, and perhaps I could have become a wonderful violinist like many of you are.
