Lovely seeing your form drawing yesterday, so much care taken in creating your forms and in your shading, well done 😊
Today we have main lesson, spelling, daily math, reading (although this is getting trickier and trickier to do as we run out of books), math (optional, this is a very math heavy day) and sports.
Main lesson:
Form 2:
Start with a circle. Next mark the mid points at the top, bottom and sides, you’ll also need to mark the midpoint between each of these. Then draw a square from the dots you've (lightly) marked, and another diagonal square with its lines going behind the first square.
Now that your form is drawn, we need to colour it in, you'll need your coloured pencils. Start at the corners, colouring in straight lines all in the same direction, pushing harder with your pencil, then softer as you grow closer to the center. For the front square, try making circular movements with your pencil to create colour like I’ve demonstrated below. You will need three different colours.
Spelling:
Categorise this weeks words into parts of speech - nouns (naming words), verbs (doing words), adjectives (describing words), preposition (used before a noun eg: at, in, on), adverb (describes the verb), conjunction (joins words eg: and, because), pronoun (replaces a name eg: she, he, they)
Discuss verb families eg: do, doing, done, did.

Daily math:
Congratulations to those who sent me their math yesterday - Hans, Sujan, Annie, Ciaran, Ari (who noticed I called #5 #6 oops!), Niamh, Lily, Briar, Blake.
Today's math:
1. Addition
2. Subtraction
3. Subtraction (regrouping)
4. Multiplication
5. Multiplication word problem
Reading:
Where can you find something to read? How about recipe books? Could you put on your chef's hat and apron, follow a recipe and make something for dinner for your family this week?
Somebody suggested a book swap with a classmate that lives near you. Obviously you'll need to follow the level 3 rules and make it contactless and keep your distance, maybe this is an option for some of you?
Math: (optional)
Sport:
Check out the page called "Sports from Ash #2"
Have a look at what your classmates created and sent me yesterday
I hope you enjoy the rest of your day, I'll see you tomorrow
