Kia ora Class 5 whānau
Welcome to our treehouse. We often say that our class is like being in a treehouse with the leaves surrounding us outside the windows. It's a great feeling being surrounded by nature and in this time where we can't physically be together in our treehouse I have set up a digital one.
This is a place where I will set learning, share photos that you send me and you can leave comments about what you have been doing. Please remember before you comment to ask yourself, is it kind? Is it helpful? Is it sensible? This is a place that we will all be and conversations are visible so keep that in mind before you comment. I have set comments to require approval, so all will be sent to me before they are published.
Monday to Friday I will set daily learning tasks, based on what subjects we would typically do in class. You are welcome to do as much or as little as you need. Learning at home is more about having some routine and practicing skills than it is about sitting at a desk from 8:40-3 and being chained to a book or screen. Please email me if you have any questions or need help, or to show me what you have been working on. I will check my emails throughout the day and get back to you as soon as I can but will not have set available hours due to having my own little children at home with me. Make sure you take breaks and have fun!
I'm really looking forward to connecting with you as we go on this learning journey from our treehouse together, I have missed you all dearly!
